If you do not confirm this, your registration will be automatically deleted. If you confirm your wish to receive the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address, date and time of the request and your IP address at the time of registration and confirmation until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. This can be done at any time by notifying us accordingly; the easiest way to unsubscribe is to click on the link provided in each newsletter e-mail or by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address given in the imprint. The service “MailChimp” is used to send our newsletter, which runs on servers in the United States of America; for further details, see the next section “Use of contract processors / transfer of personal data to a third country”.

Use of processors, transfer of personal data to a third country

The processors employed by us (until 24.5.2018: § 11 BDSG; from 25.5.2018 Art. 28 DS-GVO) may have access to your data when providing IT services for us. We select the companies working for us carefully and oblige them to comply with data protection in the event of handling your data in accordance with the applicable laws.

As mentioned above, the service “MailChimp” of the IT service provider The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA (“Provider”) is used for the dispatch of our newsletter. This provider has also been carefully selected by us and has been committed in accordance with the applicable laws to comply with data protection in the event of handling of your data. In addition, this case also involves a transfer to a so-called third country, i.e. a country in which a different level of data protection applies than in the European Union and Germany. In order to be able to transfer data to a provider in such a third country, as we do, it must be ensured, in addition to compliance with the other data protection requirements, that the provider provides its services on the basis of an appropriate level of data protection. For the “MailChimp” service, this requirement is fulfilled when the service has been certified by its provider in accordance with the “Privacy Shield” agreed between the European Union and the United States.

Similar to other newsletter services, MailChimp can be used to create statistical evaluations of usage data. Basically these possibilities of evaluation are only related to the respective group of recipients receiving a newsletter, without the possibility to trace the behaviour of individual recipients. Further information about the handling of personal data in connection with the service “MailChimp” can be found on the linked websites of the provider: Link

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our websites, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide us with other services relating to the use of websites and the internet.
