mutares AG acquires Fertigungstechnik Weißenfels GmbH (FTW)

mutares AG, Munich, acquires Fertigungstechnik Weißenfels GmbH (FTW) from the Römheld Group, Laubach. FTW designs, manufactures and distributes NC-controlled rotary tables for the machine-tool industry. The company occupies 90 employees at its plant in Weißenfels near Leipzig. With this transaction the Römheld group intends to strengthen the focus on its core business.

Among FTW’s customers are the major machine-tool manufacturers; their machines for complex 3D-machining are equipped with components from FTW. Being an engineering partner for its customers FTW provides comprehensive solutions that can be flexibly integrated in the control and machining concept of its customers’ equipment.
